1. Who We Are

Driftprint LLC ("Driftprint," "we," "us," or "our") is a Florida limited liability company and an AI-powered art generation and print ordering service. When you use Driftprint at getdriftprint.com, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Order information: Name, shipping address, and email address when you place an order.
• Payment information: Handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number.
• Text prompts: The descriptions you type to generate artwork. These are sent to OpenAI's API to create your image.
• Uploaded photos (Style My Photo): Your photo is temporarily uploaded to our server, processed by OpenAI's vision API, and immediately deleted. We do not store your original photos.
• Room photos (Room Match): If you use Room Match, your room photo is temporarily uploaded, processed by OpenAI's vision API to suggest matching artwork, and immediately deleted. We do not retain room photos.
• Account email: If you create an account, we store your email address to authenticate you via magic link and associate your drafts and orders.
• Email promotions: If you voluntarily submit your email via our promotional signup form, we store it to send you occasional marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: Pages visited, actions taken, and general browser/device information (collected via Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics).
• Session data: A session token stored in your browser's localStorage to keep you logged in. This token is validated server-side on each request.
• Local browser state: Artwork and draft data temporarily stored in your browser's sessionStorage/localStorage to pass between pages. Most of this never leaves your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To process and fulfill your print orders via our fulfillment partner Printful.
• To send your text prompts to OpenAI's API and generate your artwork.
• To send order confirmation and shipping updates to your email address.
• To provide customer support when you contact us.
• To improve the quality and reliability of our service.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following trusted third parties to operate Driftprint. Each has their own privacy policy:

• OpenAI — Processes your text prompts and photos to generate AI artwork. OpenAI Privacy Policy →

5. Data Retention

• Uploaded photos (Style My Photo / Room Match): Deleted from our servers immediately after AI processing (typically within seconds).
• Generated images: Artwork you generate is stored permanently on Cloudflare R2 so it remains accessible via your account and order history. You can permanently delete any image by deleting the associated draft or order from your account page. Deletion removes the image from our storage immediately.
• Saved drafts: Retained until you delete them. You can delete drafts at any time from your account page.
• Order records: Visible in your account and retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance purposes. You may delete the order record and associated image from your account page; minimal records required for legal compliance may be retained regardless.
• Account data: Your email and session data are retained while your account is active. To delete your account entirely, email us at hello@getdriftprint.com.
• Email marketing list: Retained until you unsubscribe or request removal.
• Email and shipping details: Retained as long as needed to support your order and handle any returns or disputes.

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use minimal cookies for basic site functionality only. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or sell your browsing data to third parties. Stripe may set cookies necessary for payment fraud prevention.

7. Your Rights & Controls

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Opt out of marketing communications

Self-service controls: If you have an account, you can delete individual drafts and order records (including associated images) directly from your account page without contacting us.

For all other requests — including full account deletion or data access — email us at hello@getdriftprint.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Driftprint is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe using PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. Uploaded photos are processed over encrypted connections and never written to permanent storage.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Driftprint after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
